At Night Golf Australia many corporate groups and businesses ask us what format is best for Night Golf? To them we recommend a 3person Ambrose (Ambrose instructions provided) event with 2 groups teeing off together. Have your first group tee off at around dusk. Space groups at approximately 10 minute intervals and limit the Night round to 12 holes – One full 9 and 3 holes from the other ‘side’ Its always a good idea, if possible, to incorporate the 18th. You can then place yourself in the last group and pick up all the Nearest the Pins, glow sticks etc. Not much of a clean-up at all.

Another way to commence play is with a shot-gun start where each group is allocated a specific hole to start on. Have all players assemble by, say, 8.20pm for an 8.30pm shot-gun start. This method allows all players to finish very closely together! ( you could always make up the format any way you wish…)
